Subject: Establishing of Security Validation Teams 27 September 19494
For the present, it would seem important that concentration be placed
upon establishing and the successful operation of a team in Washington, U. C.
The nucleus of this team already exists in the form of our present Polygraph
screening program.

In areas necessitating handling cf c large number of subjects, these functions
could be divided emcng two or more men as the occasion demands. Besides those
specialists, a medical men should be available for the administering of drugs,
as should a clerical worker to facilitate the handling of paper work. Y,

Frequently Asked Questions

Proposed traveling teams that would provide general, polygraph, drug and hypnotic interrogation services to CIA stations at home and overseas, including 'operational hypnosis,' to clear backlogged loyalty and vetting cases.

Dated 1949, four years before MKUltra's official 1953 launch, it shows the CIA was already institutionally combining polygraph, drug and hypnosis interrogation concepts well before the program formally began.
